Michael Vassili is an Accredited Specialist in Dispute Resolution, NMAS Nationally accredited mediator, and Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner appointed by the Attorney General(Pending). For over thirty years Michael has appeared in high conflict litigation including disputed wills, family law, civil litigation, business disputes and everything else in between. He has specialised in litigation.

It became apparent to Michael that firstly, litigation often does not resolve conflict and in many cases, it adds to the raft of issues and problems people have. The old adage that "the only people who win in litigation are the lawyers" has a real ring of truth to it.

Michael rarely met a client who said that they did not want to resolve their dispute. From time to time a client would say something like "I don't care if I don't get a cent and you take it all, as long as she doesn't get what she wants". These were, thankfully, rare. However, when those clients realised the true cost to them of conflict they generally (with some reality checking from Michael and his team) came around to realise that approach was harmful to not only the "other side" but also themselves and it achieved nothing.

Litigators will well identify the client who refers to their former spouse or partner , brother or sister, or someone who they once had great affection for as "the other side". The methods adopted by Michael seek to challenge the circumstances where "the other side" becomes part of the solution in a "roadmap to peace" approach.
