Michael Vassili is an Accredited Specialist in Dispute Resolution, NMAS Nationally Accredited Mediator and Conciliator, Nationally Accredited Conciliator (The Resolution Institute) and Family Law Arbitrator (Reg 21 List under the Family Law Act)
So, from navigating an agreed outcome to conducting a full Arbitration Hearing and handing down an Award which can be registered with the Family Court as a binding set of Orders, Michael can provide a fast track cost effective alternative to navigating the Courts often slow and costly pathway to a Hearing and decision by a judge - Michael is fully accredited to assist you to finality and fairness from agreed outcomes to those Arbitrated as "Just and Equitable" in accordance with the Act in an Award, after receiving evidence, hearing evidence from the parties and submissions.
As an experienced advocate with over three decades of successful experience conducting complex litigation as a Trial Advocate in the High Court, Federal Circuit and Family Court Full Bench (appeals) and Single Judge Complex Trials, various Superior Courts of Record such as the Supreme Court (as Trial Advocate) throughout Australian States, Michael has exceptional capacity in understanding your dispute, but also knows that if you're heading for a final hearing in a Court setting - even if you win you will have likely lost....This wealth of experience is now available to assist you to move on to the next chapter of your life after separation or in reaching a fair outcome in other disputes such as Disputed Wills (Family Provisions), Commercial and Civil Law Disputes where Michael has vast decades of successful experience.

Thirty six years of preparing for and conducting successful litigation in front of Judges together with over decades and hundreds of mediations on behalf of clients allows Michael to adopt the subject knowledge of disputes into a very powerful mediation model to assist parties resolve their property disputes and avoid costly litigation.
Michael can conduct combined Parenting and Property matters but does not issue a 60I certificate. If a s60I certificate is required we can assist you to obtain that separately.
Michael does not act as a mediator in Parenting only mediations.
Arbitration
(Regulation 21 Family Law Act)
Michael is accredited Regulation 21 Arbitrator on the List (AIFLAM) entitled to be appointed as Arbitrator and to prepare Arbitration Awards.
Arbitration Awards are Registrered with the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and have the same effect, and subject to the same appeal rights as a Judgement of the Court itself.
Arbitration is, in most cases, a much more cost effective and Quicker option that proceeding through the Court to final hearing which can often take years and over 2 years.
Arbitration can also be used on discreet issues to narrow issues in dispute.
